  • June 22, 2008 - More Hardware Problems
Firewall died on June 21. Site was down for a few hours till I moved things around till I could dedicate my old server box to firewall duties. That means my media box is now my server :( If anyone would like to help out to get some 'new' hardware for the server, I'd appreciate it. Also, I'd like to propose putting up text only google ads to help raise money for new hardware, if anyone has any serious objections, contact me.
  • June 2, 2008 - RSS/Atom Feed Fix
The RSS feeds were somewhat broken since the move. Its fixed now :)
  • April 3, 2008 - Hardware Problems
The server's motherboard recently failed, I had a backup thankfully, as was able to get the wiki back up within a few hours, but the "Spare" was only available due to it being replaced due to instability in a desktop system, so theres no guarantee that the wiki will stay up in the long term. I would like to build a new dual core system (the current hardware is an old Socket A, Athlon XP based setup, very hard to find hardware replacements for) for the wiki and other allegro related services, if anyone would like to help, please let me know.
  • November 18, 2007 - Possible downtime
I'm hearing some ominuous sounds coming from the server, I suspect Harddrive issues, so I'll be running S.M.A.R.T. tests just in case, and the offline tests may actually cause slowdowns or cause one or more of the drives to pop offline at any time, if that happens, please don't be alarmed (yet ;))
  • October 31, 2007 - Wiki up again
As announced on the mailing list by Tomasu, the wiki is up again. It may run unstable for some days, but shouldn't go offline completely for weeks again. There's also a new dev meeting coming up on Saturday in case you are interested. Oh, and happy Halloween :)
  • August 4, 2007 - Developer meeting
Should be impossible to have missed the info, but today there will be another developer meeting in IRC.
  • August 3, 2007 - Wiki categorization
The Allegro Wiki has been fully recategorized into a sensible, hierarchal structure. For more information, see the Manual of Style page about it.
  • July 22, 2007 - Allegro 4.2.2 is Released
This is mainly a bug fix release, so all 4.2 users should upgrade to it. There are now MSVC projects files and a makefile for DMC.
  • July 21, 2007 - Allegro mascot
As you can see, we have a new logo on the wiki - but its copyright state is unclear. So head over to Mascot discussion and help create an entirely new one.
  • July 20, 2007 - Possible Service Interuption
The dns provider for tomasu.org is being changed this weekend, there shouldn't be any noticeable interuptions, but it is possible.

[edit] Older Items

  • March 10, 2007 - Our First Vandalism!
Today we had our first Vandalism since the wikimedia change over. Looks like we're getting more popular! Happy Days ;D
  • March 6, 2007 - Subpages enabled
Subpages are enabled now on all namespaces.
  • February 9, 2007 - New Address + Upgrade Again
Thanks to Matthew Leverton over at www.allegro.cc, we have an additional address for the wiki, wiki.allegro.cc. Also MediaWiki has been upgraded to 1.9.2 to fix some XSS (Cross Site Scripting) vulnerabilities. Special note, the current url will not go away.
  • February 7, 2007 - Wiki upgrade
The wiki has been upgraded to MediaWiki 1.9.1. This means, among other things, that allegro.cc authentication now works. So your allegro.cc user account also enables you to edit these pages.
  • January 27, 2007 - New Mediawiki look
The old TWiki based wiki has now been replaced with a MediaWiki one. For now, it runs on a somewhat older version, and accounts are separate from existing allegro.cc accounts. We hope to resolve both issues soon (one the current frequency of editing due to the announcement of the new wiki has somewhat slowed down).
