Category talk:Articles

Categories
We already have a Category:Article here, so a Category:Articles is something bad.
However what should we do? Migrate the articles in Category:Articles to Category:Article or do the other way around?

- I think, it's always best to follow Wikipedia guidelines here, which would be Category:Articles. 16:41, February 13, 2007 (MST)
What is an article
What exactly is an Article? To me, it's a bit ambiguous. Isn't every page an article? I think categories like Tutorial (step-by-step format) and Documentation (describing how something works) would be more descriptive. - ML
I think it is something like an article written to a journal or a magazine. Indeed the name Category:Article is not good. There is also a Category:Articles, which i'm thinking about moving it's articles to Category:Article, or vice-versa. But some other category whit a less vague and less "everything fits" name should be proposed. Victor Williams Stafusa da Silva 15:42, February 13, 2007 (MST)
- What about Authored articles of Signed articles? Victor Williams Stafusa da Silva 09:57, April 7, 2007 (MDT)
- I don't follow, what exactly do you mean -- Tomasu 01:23, May 13, 2007 (MDT)
I think its about time someone split up Articles into Tutorials, Documentation, and Articles. Or some other set of categories that make sense. Also, they should also be indexed via a single category preview page kinda like the Subcategories bit at mediawiki. -- Tomasu 01:23, May 13, 2007 (MDT)
I'm interpreting Tomasu's comment plus my new privileges on the wiki as a "Go" to performing the changes to the categorization of the Allegro wiki described here. Thanks!
